Where in Haiti does the The Mortel High Hopes for Haiti Foundation work?

The Good Samaritans School and James Stine College are located in Saint Marc, Haiti, the second largest city in the Department of the Artibonite, about a 2 hour drive north of the Port-au-Prince airport.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes! All donations are tax deductible because the The Mortel High Hopes for Haiti Foundation is a certified 501 (c)(3) charitable organization. Payments for purchasing a book are not considered donations and are therefore not tax deductible.

How much of my donation goes to the children and schools in Haiti?

Over 90% of your donation goes directly to our programs benefiting the children at our schools in Haiti!

What does my student sponsorship give my student?

Every time you sponsor a child, it provides your sponsored student with tuition, school supplies, 2 meals a day, and medical and dental care for one school year!

What information will I receive about my sponsored student?

If you sponsor a student, you will receive their name, grade, and a photo from the beginning of the school year. You’ll also receive their report card and school reports at the end of the school year.

Can I meet my sponsored student or send them cards/notes?

Currently, we do not have regularly scheduled trips to Haiti for the purpose of sponsors meeting their students. If you are interested in visiting the schools in Haiti, please contact us.
