College James Stine, the secondary school supported by the Mortel High Hopes for Haiti Foundation started the 2017/2018 school year with Mass of the Holy Spirit and an assembly of students, teachers, and staff. Students in grades 7-9 take classes in a variety of subjects to prepare for the national exam at the end of 9th grade.

Those in Secondary (equivalent to US grades 10, 11, and 12) focus their learning in one of three tracks: Liberal Arts, Math, or Science. Graduation is contingent upon successful completion of Philosophy, a 13th year, and passing a final exam. Nearly 150 of the students at Stine this year are from Les Bons Samaritains and of those 8 will be preparing for graduation. We wish you well with a challenging curriculum!
